tito ortiz-1Jacob Christopher is an American mixed martial artist and politician. He is currently an Combate Americas promotee. [2] Ortiz is most famous for his work with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in which, as an ex- Light Heavyweight Champion and holding the title from April 14th 2001 to September 26, 2003, he was the Light Heavyweight Champion. He was among the first athletes to be a part of the sport, along with fighters like Randy Couture or Chuck Liddell. Ortiz eventually became the most popular pay-per-view star of 2006 due to his fights with Liddell, Forrest Griffin, and Ken Shamrock.Ortiz is the president of Punishment Athletics' MMA equipment and clothing line, which is located in his hometown of Huntington Beach, California.
