Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone, born on 5 January, 1986 (pronounced as [diPIkaPaduko] or [paDukoor [paDuko]), is an Indian movie actress. She is most often seen in films with a Hindi language. Padukone is among the actresses with the highest salaries in India with her accomplishments that are three Filmfare Awards. She is featured in the lists among the most well-known celebrities; Time named her one of the top 100 influential people worldwide in 2018 and awarded her with the TIME100 Impact Award in 2022. Padukone was a daughter to badminton winner Prakash Padukone. Padukone was born in and grew up in Bangalore. When she was a teen, she played badminton in tournaments at national level, but decided to end her career in the sport to become a fashion model. In 2006 she debuted as an actor in the Kannada film Aishwarya. Padukone was then cast in the double part as Shah Rukh Khan opposite her in Om Shanti Om (2007) the debut Bollywood film. The film was awarded Padukone the Filmfare Award Best Female Debut.
