Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a playwright, actor director, producer, playwright as well as a teacher in St. Thomas University). Anna Silk's dad is from Britain, and her mother, is a Turkish Cypriot English expat. Her mother was always watching her work at play rehearsals. In her early years, Anna was featured in a variety of commercials. Anna was transferred to Toronto in November of 1999, in order to continue her acting career. After that, she settled at Los Angeles (California) over the next ten years. Seth Cooperman, whom she was introduced to at an Los Angeles actors' workshop at the end of 2007, became her partner in the year 2009. Anna began her journey to becoming a Jewish woman in 2011 after converting to Judaism. The couple was weddings in the month of December the same year, and they then renewed their vows in an Jewish wedding ceremony that took place in Fredericton, in April 2011. Bo's same-sex relationship with Lauren (played by Zoie Palmer) was highlighted on CNN's list of the top Favorite TV Couples and named the Top TV Couple in 2013, by E! Entertainment Television.
