Despacito is a song from 2017 that was released by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi. It was the single that became the most streamed track worldwide within just six months. It was a blend of pop and reggaeton that not only drew attention to Latin Music, but also reggaeton. The Billboard Top 100 included four mostly Spanish songs in 2016, and two songs in 2015. Despacito's popularity Despacito reached its peak in the year 2017. In 2020, 41 mostly Spanish songs are expected to make it into the Top 100. After Justin Bieber's remix in two languages of Despacito (2017) famous musicians soon started collaborating with reggaeton musicians, such as Drake and Bad Bunny on MIA (2018) and Madonna and Maluma in Medellin (2019). By 2020 a few reggaeton artists were expressing displeasure at its inclination towards mainstream but a new generation namely Rauw Alejandro was determined to continue the evolution of reggaeton. Incorporating elements of electronic dance music, as well as various other genres was a typical practice.
